Do You Work at an Animal Shelter?

Do you work in a shelter or with a rescue group?

We’d love to help you find dogs and cats their forever homes.

Each year, thousands of animals are surrendered to shelters and rescue groups, many for treatable, issues related to behavioral problems. We know your mission is to help those that cannot help themselves, and we also know how difficult your job can be at times.

We want to help make your job easier by keeping McConnell Publishing resources affordably priced.

That’s why we’ve lowered the minimum order for bulk pricing (from 25 to 10) for up to 50% off the cost of our books and booklets. We hope this will help rescue organizations and shelters provide these resources to potential adopters either for free, or as a way to bring in much need funds. We’ve had a multitude of clients and professionals in your field who have found the information user-friendly, practical and effective.

For example, we all know that SEPARATION ANXIETY is relatively common in dogs from shelters or who have been abandoned. We don’t know if the problem developed from the change in ownership, or if more dogs are abandoned because they have separation anxiety. Either way, finding them a forever home is in part dependent upon treating their panic about being left alone.

The booklet I’ll Be Home Soon distinguishes between dogs with separation anxiety and dogs who ‘merely’ misbehave, and then provides a clear, step-by-step program to handle both of these issues. This is a great resource to send home with any adoptor, because of its focus on the prevention of separation anxiety, along with its treatment, if it already exists.

“This little booklet saved by my life and that of my Weimaraner, Misty.” Misty’s separation anxiety was so serious that she went through a glass window, badly lacerating herself in the process. After following the good sense and clear advice in this booklet, Misty and I lived a much happier life. We are both very, very grateful.”

Here's another booklet that we've found is especially useful for people thinking of adding another dog to their family:

"Feeling Outnumbered is a life saver for anyone living with more than one dog!"

Past President of Golden Retriever Rescue of Wisconsin
